This award recognises a family farming business that has combined good results with a strong family partnership and a clear plan for the future, including succession. Judges look for the business, the family working well together and the farm's place in its community.

Open to UK farming businesses run by two or more members of the same family.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a short account of the farm or business, supporting figures such as yields, herd or flock performance, costs or margins where relevant, and, where possible, comments from customers, buyers, advisers or neighbours. Figures can be given as ranges or percentages and nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Judges consider the size, type and location of the farm, so a small upland holding competes on equal terms with a large lowland estate.
