Agricultural Supplier of the Year Award
The business farmers trust to back them.
About this category
This award recognises a business supplying farms, whether with feed, seed, fertiliser, machinery, buildings or equipment, whose products, advice and service stand out. Judges look for what farmer customers say and the value the business adds.
Eligibility
Open to UK businesses supplying products or equipment to farms.
Judging criteria
- Customer service
- Quality of products and advice
- Value to farmers
- Reliability
- Support for farming
Qualitative criteria
A supplier that acts like a partner.
Metrics
- Customer satisfaction
- Retention
- Delivery performance and after sales support
Additional criteria
Entries should include a short account of the farm or business, supporting figures such as yields, herd or flock performance, costs or margins where relevant, and, where possible, comments from customers, buyers, advisers or neighbours. Figures can be given as ranges or percentages and nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Judges consider the size, type and location of the farm, so a small upland holding competes on equal terms with a large lowland estate.
