This award recognises an agronomist, farm business consultant, land agent, nutritionist or vet whose advice has made a measurable difference to the farms they work with. Judges look for results for clients and the trust of the farmers they advise.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a short account of the farm or business, supporting figures such as yields, herd or flock performance, costs or margins where relevant, and, where possible, comments from customers, buyers, advisers or neighbours. Figures can be given as ranges or percentages and nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Judges consider the size, type and location of the farm, so a small upland holding competes on equal terms with a large lowland estate.
