About this category
This award recognises a woman whose farming, leadership, business or advocacy is making an outstanding contribution to UK agriculture. Judges look for achievement, influence and the example she sets for others.

Additional criteria
Entries should include a short account of the farm or business, supporting figures such as yields, herd or flock performance, costs or margins where relevant, and, where possible, comments from customers, buyers, advisers or neighbours. Figures can be given as ranges or percentages and nothing in an entry is shared beyond the judging panel. Judges consider the size, type and location of the farm, so a small upland holding competes on equal terms with a large lowland estate.
